Mr. Yuri Kostin has been holding position of Vice-President (PR & International Relations) of Prof Media Broadcasting Corporation (PMBC) since 2004. He joined the team in 2001 as Autoradio General Producer (special projects), and worked as Editor-in-Chief of Radio Energy.

Mr.Kostin was born in August 1965. He graduated from The Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1987: Qualification received: International Journalism. From 1987 until 1989 he worked as an editor at Gosteleradio of the USSR, the state-owned TV and Radio giant. He was the head of Gosteleradio’s Department of Broadcasting for Great Britain and Ireland from 1989 until the end of 1991.

In 1991 Mr.Kostin founded Russia’s first privately owned commercial FM-station Radio 101, and headed and owned it until May 2000.

In May 2000 Mr.Kostin founded the first Russian Internet Radio (101.ru), which now a part of PMBC and streams 101 channels.

Mr. Kostin holds a number of professional awards including “Media Manager of the Year”. In 2007 he became an Academic of Radio Academy of Russia. Yuri Kostin is also a member of Moscow Writers Union and the author of an autobiographic award-winning book “The Two Lives Of My Generation” and a historic novel “The German”. Yuri Kostin is a contributor of the 2005 NAB Broadcasting Excellence Award received by Autoradio as a recognition of its extraordinary service to communities and broadcast industry.
